RecycleIR Terms and Conditions
RecycleIR is a marketplace offered by United Infrared, Inc. that allows users to sell and buy approved infrared cameras and related equipment valued at $100 or more. United Infrared serves as an intermediary between the buyer and seller. United Infrared collects payment for the purchase of the item listed by the seller. Once the item is sold, the seller is notified and agrees to ship the item directly to the buyer within 3 business days. Once the item is accepted and approved by the buyer, United Infrared pays the seller 85% of the purchase price within 2 weeks of acceptance by the buyer in the form of a check. The actual contract for sale is between the seller and buyer.
Listing an Item
To list an item for sale you agree to:
- Be the owner of the item
- Provide 2 or more photos of the actual item
- Provide a truthful and accurate description of the item and the item’s condition and relevant history
- Accept the terms and conditions of RecycleIR as listed in this document
- Notify United Infrared if you no longer own the item or it is no longer for sale
- Pay the listing fee invoice if the item is approved for listing. Once the listing fee is paid, the item will be listed on RecycleIR within 3 business days
Listing Fees
The listing fee for each item you list on RecycleIR is $15. The item will be listed for 12 months. The listing fee is:
- Non-refundable if your item doesn’t sell
- Charged per listing
- Charged each time you choose to relist your item
- Charged only once per listing for listings with multiples of identical items.
Final Value Fees
We charge a final value fee when your item sells. This fee is calculated as 15 percent of the total amount of the sale. The total amount of the sale is the amount the buyer pays. Sales tax isn’t included in the calculation.
Shipping
The seller agrees to:
- Include the cost of ground shipping to the contiguous United States in the price of the item
- Calculate the cost of additional shipping fees such as expedited shipping or shipping to Alaska or Hawaii
- Ship the item within three business days
- Obtain tracking information for the shipment
- Provide truthful and accurate information about the item
- Be responsible for the safe and secure delivery of the item to the buyer
The buyer agrees to:
- Read and understand the condition of the item listed before making a purchase
- Provide a shipping address within the contiguous United States
- Pay extra for shipping to Alaska or Hawaii
- Pay extra for expedited shipping
- Pay sales tax on items sent to California or North Carolina
- Notify United Infrared within three business days if not satisfied with the item
- Pay for return shipping back to the seller
- International shipping is not supported by RecycleIR.
Other Terms and Conditions
- All fees and payments are in US dollars
- We do not transfer legal ownership of the items from the seller to the buyer
- The name “RecycleIR” and other RecycleIR marks, logos, designs, and phrases that we use in connection with our services are trademarks, service marks, or trade dress of RecyceIR. They may not be used without the express written prior permission of United Infrared, Inc.
- All sales are final unless item is determined to be not as described in the listing.
Release
If you have a dispute with one or more users, you release us (and our affiliates and subsidiaries, and our and their respective officers, directors, employees and agents) from claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes. In entering into this release you expressly waive any protections (whether statutory or otherwise) that would otherwise limit the coverage of this release to include only those claims which you may know or suspect to exist in your favor at the time of agreeing to this release.
Indemnity
You will indemnify and hold us (including our affiliates and subsidiaries, as well as our and their respective officers, directors, employees, agents) harmless from any claim or demand, including reasonable legal fees, made by any third party due to or arising out of your breach of this User Agreement, your improper use of United Infrared’s Services or your breach of any law or the rights of a third party.
